The 2022 interclub was a tremendous success with children from BKK Dunmow, BKK Folkstone, BKK Loughborough, BKK Saffron Walden, BKK Westcroft, BKK Wimbledon and BKK Crawley taking part.
Thanks to all the dojo supporters that worked tirelessly to make it a great days fighting and to all the people who donated cakes. Special thanks to BBQ-Man Paul Beach and his wife for providing all the food on such a sunny day.
The club once again had amazing results at the English Open Full Contact Championships on 10th April. Forty five teams from eighteen organisations took part in the first contact event since the pandemic and the club came out on top with seven gold, five silver and a bronze.
Senpai Blake Collins took the bronze medal at the 34th European Championships in Poland. After winning the quarter final with a stoppage against a tough Ukrainian he then lost a 3-2 split decision to his Polish Opponent in the semi final.
We are delighted to announce on Tuesday 13th April the junior classes will resume in the dojo at 1800 as part of the government roadmap out of the pandemic.
Children will be expected to still have temperature checks on arrival and must make sure they bring all their own equipment.

The club had great results at this years went in Dunmow, Essex.
Charlie Lee and Andre Loison Brito took gold and the team took silver losing to Mountain Ash in the final with Theo Cooper,Olaf Dabek, Reece Edwards, Sophie Edwards, Sidhi Sinidhar, Elvin Vaskys and Isaac Warnfeldt Rush all performing well.
In individuals Elliot Fortnam, Theeo Cooper, Isaac Warnfeldt Rush and Brandon Wise all took silver medals and Steven Papworth and Antec Sobecki picked up bronze.
Ashley Black and Robert Salvi both secured 2 wins in the U18 Tri-Nation International with England taking an overall silver losing 4 wins to 2 against winners USA and defeating Wales 4 win to 2.
Robert also took 2nd place in the British Open U18 Heavyweight division losing to his nemesis Harry Clemo of IKK Sandwich on decision.
Blake Collins fought extremely well narrowly losing in the quarter final of the Cup of Europe Middleweight division to the Russia Kyokushinkan champion on a 3-2 split decision.
The dojo had a very successful performance at the Welsh Open Contact Championships.
Seven of the eight participants took trophies with four winning gold.
Robert Salvi U18 HW, Mia Hawkins U16, Charlie Denton U16 and Elvin Vaskys U14 won their categories with Robert also getting the fastest KO with jodan mawashi geri.
Blake Collins took 2nd place in the open mens MW and both Robert Young vets MW and Bart Procter U18 LW took third place
