Gold Power at the English Open for Crawley KK

Four out of five golds were won by our female fighters at the English Open with Crawley taking overall 2nd place collecting nine prizes.

Olivia Pickthall took the womens lightweight crown with three tough fights. Ruby McCord added to her recent International success with the U18 HW title, Olivia Stimpson regained the U14 HW gold and Rose Cheneler in only her second contact tournament shone to win the U14 LHW gold.

Isaac Warnfeldt Rush who has now stepped up to U18 won the lightweight gold in impressive fashion.

The club also picked up 2nd places with David Gonda U16 -60kg, Itanife Wachuku King U10 -35kg and we got third place with Rebecca Daniel in the Women Novice LW and Andy Ilinov in the U10 -35kg.

The club also had Will Power, Riyaad Ackurbally, Ilori Wachuku King and Zara Bah take 4th place. Nami Saeedi and Mason Hennessy were joint 5th

Chapman Retains His West Europe Crown

Callum moved up to middleweight -80kg and regained the West Europe title with three bruising bouts. Winning decisions against his Dutch and Belgian opponents before taking the crown against top German fighter Steven Demanov.

His was part of a GB team that saw Jess Hickman from Invictus Croydon take 4th place and Hayley Beth Rowlands lose out in the Quarter Finals.
