Ashley Black International Pilatus Cup Champion 2019

Robert 2nd, Ashley 1st, Mia 2nd

Ashley Black, aged 13 won the 20th International Pilatus Cup in Switzerland last week and there was more success for both Mia Hawkins, aged 14 and Robert Salvi aged 17 who both took 2nd place in their respective categories.

Fighters from Switzerland, England , Wales, Ireland and Germany took part in this Kyokushin rules contact event. Both the England and Wales teams enjoyed success in many of the categories.

Crawley Borough Council Honour Hanshi Steve Arneil

‘Crawley’s Sporting Excellence’ were recognised by the CBC and the Deputy Mayor on the wall at K2 Sportscentre.

Hanshi Arneil was honoured for his coaching contribution over four decades as chief Instructor at the Crawley Kyokushinkai Club in Tilgate.

CKK Juniors selected for 20th Pilatus International Cup

Sensei Wai Cheung England U18 Coach

Success at the Scottish Open 2019

Blake Collins successfully defended his middleweight crown at the IKKU Open event. Scoring with a very sharp uchi haisoku geri for a ippon in the semi final. He took the final on unanimous decision in a tough bout.

Malcolm Scott cruised to victory in the mens heavyweight veterans category winning all three fights in quick fashion.

U18 Robert Salvi lost in the final to his nemesis Harry Clemo of Sandwich on a judges decision.

Sara Hagge from Sweden and Jessica Charsley Verwood who train with the CKK fight team both fought well coming 2nd and 1st respectively.
