Ashley took part in the KWU European Championships in Berlin and took 3rd place. He won his quarter final bout with a nice head kick against his German opponent and lost the the IFK Russian Champion in the Semi final.
There was approximately 400 participants form 26 countries taking part in this high level event.
The dojo had a very successful performance at the Welsh Open Contact Championships.
Seven of the eight participants took trophies with four winning gold.
Robert Salvi U18 HW, Mia Hawkins U16, Charlie Denton U16 and Elvin Vaskys U14 won their categories with Robert also getting the fastest KO with jodan mawashi geri.
Blake Collins took 2nd place in the open mens MW and both Robert Young vets MW and Bart Procter U18 LW took third place
CKK fighter Ashley Black will represent Great Britain this weekend In Berlin at the European Championships in the U14 -50kg category. Also fighting for the BKK is Rhys Meredith of Mountain Ash U16 and IKK fighters Callum Chapman and Harry Clemo in the U18.
