Crawley picked up two golds and a total of five medals to finish in third place in the overall ranking this year.
Mia Mellows won her first individual Kata title in the U16 Blue Belt. An amazing achievement for an 8 year old.
The low grade team consisting of Jon Cheneler, Nikolay Kosherov and Radoslav Porubcan also took gold and indivudally they all placed with Jon securing 2nd place and Nikolay and Rado took 3rd.
The other members participating performed well but were outside of the medals.






Crawley won 3 gold, 5 silver and 11 bronze medals at the National Championships for semi contact fighting with Callum Chapman adding the semi crown to his full contact gold for 2025, Martin Fregis and Mia Mellows taking their first British individual titles.
Silvers were won by Olivia Pickthall, Ruby McCord, Jon Cheneler and the Adult and Pee Wee teams.

NIeve Sorge won the KO Cup Austrian Open in fine style with two ippons with head kicks.She dominated from start to finish and will hopefully take that confidence into the new year.
Isaac Warnfeldt Rush lost in the quarter finals to the eventual winner.
The club had six out of twenty eight athletes represent England with Yusmin Khan in the Kata and Mia Mellows, Niyah Kumari, Will Power, Mason Hennessy, Rose Cheneler and Martin Fregis in the semi contact.
Although the majority of the Crawley fighters won their bouts the overall winners were Wales.
BKK England sent a team to the Sutani international Cup and David Gonda took gold with Ruby McCord gaining silver. It was a great experience for both youth athletes who continue to improve.

Callum Chapman added the Cup of Europe and British Open LW title to his resume for the Chris time completing an amazing year without losing a full contact bout.
His younger brother Cody took 3rd place in the Mens HW and James Clark also achieved 3rd place in the Mens LW.
The club also saw winners in Olivia Stimpson U12 and Alek Ilinov in the U10 -35kg categories.
Other prize winners were Mason Hennessy, David Gonda and Yusmin Khan Silver.
Itanife Wachuku King, Isaac Warnfeldt Rush, Nieve Sorge, Ruby Mccord, Elvin Vaskys, IRiyaad Ackurbally and Martin Stimpson bronze.

Our annual open day and inter club had children from Folkestone, Dunmow, Westcroft (Sutton), Weymouth, Wimbledon as well as Crawley.
Our young athletes won 10 gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze.
The club wants to thank all the parents for helping run the day and supply food and drink stalls.



James Clark stepped up to the open category and took gold at his first attempt in the Mens LW as well as most spirited fighter. Cody Chapman also secured the top spot in the Mens HW.
Isaac Warnfeldt Rush and Zara Bah won again the junior categories making it a very successful event.
Crawley finished with 11 trophies overall. Nomi Saeedi, Mason Hennessy, Alek Ilinov, Itanife Wachuku King, David Gonda and Izzy Dodd took 2nd and Rose Cheneler took 3rd place.
Crawley club had six athletes representing GB in the 7th IFK World Championships in Leipzig on 10th May.
Mens Lightweight Callum Chapman proved he is not just a youth champion by claiming the Mens -70kg Lightweight World title. He secured a KO to the body in his quarter final before defeating Dani Redondo of Spain in the semi and then Nikita Anissimov of Kazakhstan in the final, both by decision. An incredible achievement from someone who is still only 22 years old.


Ruby McCord took 3rd place in the U18 Girls +65kg in her first world event.
Isaac Warnfeldt Rush and Cody Chapman made the Quarter Finals. Olivia Pickthall and Nieve Sorge lost out in the last 16.
Overall GB came away with 1 gold and 6 bronze to finish 11th in the medal table.
