Great Britain finished in second place on the medal table at the IFK European Championships behind Kazakhstan with 3 golds, 4 silver and a bronze medal in Yerevan Armenia.
Crawley had Callum Chapman crowned the U21 Lightweight man Champion, Olivia Pickthall took silver in the Women’s -55kg and Isaac Warnfeldt Rush took silver in the U14 boys.
Also it was a great experience for club members Elliott Fortnam Antek Sobecki U16 and Cody Chapman U18.
The club invited Sensei Jonathan Tineo over from Spain to conduct a fighting seminar which was a sell out. The former World and Multi time European Champion showed technical combinations and put the competitor team through their paces.

Crawley took two young fighters to Scotland for the national full contactevent.
After destroying his semi final opponent Callum Chapman lost out to GB Teamate Jaafar Ramal in the final of the lightweight event. Olivia Pickthall had a tough semi final against her Swedish opponent and then lost a 3 round decision to Beathe Hegerland of Norway.
Blake Collins took Silver in the Mens High Grade Kata Championships and Illori Wachuku King at only 8 years old took silver in the U16 Blue Belt Category.
The Crawley High Grade team narrowly missed out on a medal taking 4th place as did Alfie Finch. Yusmin Khan, Olivia Pickthall and Nojus Kuzavinis all reached the second round.
Crawley KK took fourteen medals at the British Championships with four golds.
Will Power, pee wee category 1 and Nick Buckfield, low grade veteran, retained their British titles last weekend. Ilori Wachuku King won the pee wee category 2 and Alfie Finch took the low grade boy crown.
There were Silver medals for Lewis Fortnam pee wee category 3, Cody Chapman U18 high grade and Steven Papworth high grade veterans.
Itanife Wachuku King, pee wee 1 took third place along with Elvin Vaskys U18 low grade, Olivia Pickthall womens high grade, Nick Buckfield low grade men.
In the team event after defeating Dunmow, Waterloo (Kaizen) and Loughborough, the Crawley A team tied 2-2 with Mountain Ah in the final but lost in a sudden death fight off.
The B team took a credible 3rd place and the peewee team also came 3rd.

The club had five boys selected to participate for England in the Sutani Cup in Antwerp.
Cody Chapman U18, Elliot Fortnam U14 HW and Isaac Warnfeldt Rush U14 LW took 1st place and Alfie Finch U14 MW came 3rd. Elvin Vaskys narrowly missed out with 4th place.
Callum Chapman finished his incredible year with the 2022 West Europe U21 Title. He crushed into the final winning all bouts by stoppage before sealing the victory dominating the final with his power.
Olivia Pickthall had some fought bouts against experienced opponents ending the day in 4th place
Two-time Olympian Nick Buckfield swapped his poles for the grind Full Contact Kyokushinkai Karate and managed to take the Veterans British Middleweight Championships title at K2, Crawley.
The club walked away with another 6 silver and 2 bronze medals. Congratulations to all who took part.
20 year old Callum Chapman added the Mens Lightweight Crown to his U21 World Title. In the UK’s premium full contact event he scooped the gold in his first attempt in the adult section. He was also awarded the highest placed British Fighter award.
